Who gives this warranty
RePlumbify, a California corporation. California Contractors State License Board licence #1159930 (B — General Building · C-36 — Plumbing).Reach us on (877) 473-7586.
Who this warranty covers
This warranty is extended only to the original customer named on the invoicefor the work, at the property address where the work was performed. It is not transferable and does not extend to any subsequent owner, purchaser, tenant or occupant of the property. If the property is sold, this warranty terminates as to the work covered.
This does not affect any warranty California law attaches to new residential construction. The statutory warranties created by California Civil Code §§ 896 and 900 run with the property under § 941 and cannot be waived under § 901. Nothing in this paragraph shortens, replaces or transfers away rights that the law gives to a subsequent owner.
What is covered
Our workmanship — the labour we performed — on the work identified by the invoice or job number for that visit. If work we performed fails within the warranty period because of a defect in how we performed it, we will return and re-perform that work.
Equipment, fixtures and parts are covered by their manufacturer's own warranty, not by this one. Where we supply a product, we pass the manufacturer's warranty through to you and will tell you how to reach that manufacturer. Manufacturer warranty periods and terms are set by the manufacturer and are frequently longer than this warranty.
What we will do
If you notify us of a covered defect within the warranty period, we will return and re-perform the defective work at no charge to you for our labour or for materials we supplied as part of that work. We choose the method of correction. This is the sole remedy this warranty provides.
How long it lasts
12 months from the date of substantial completion of the work, as stated on the invoice for that work.
Drain and sewer clearing is the one exception, and it is warranted 30 days. We say why rather than burying it in the exclusions: clearing a line removes what is in the line today. It does not repair the line. Where the pipe itself is the problem — roots at a joint, an offset, a belly, a partial collapse, a foreign object lodged in the run — the blockage returns for a reason that has nothing to do with how the clearing was performed, and no amount of clearing will stop it returning. In those cases the honest answer is a camera inspection and a repair estimate, not a free re-clearing every few weeks.
So: if a line we cleared blocks again within 30 days and the cause is our work, we come back at no charge. If a camera shows a structural defect in the line, that finding is documented and given to you, and the repair is quoted separately. We will show you the footage.
How to make a claim
Warranty obligations under this warranty are performed by RePlumbify. Written warranty claims may be sent to 3291 Ramos Cir, Sacramento, CA 95827, or made by telephone using the steps below.
- Call (877) 473-7586 and say you are making a warranty claim.
- Have the invoice or job number, the service address, and the date of the original work.
- Describe what has failed. Photographs help.
- We will confirm whether the failure is covered and arrange a return visit.
- If we determine a failure is not covered, we will tell you why in writing before any chargeable work begins.
There is no informal dispute settlement mechanism attached to this warranty, and none is required before you exercise any legal right you have.
What is not covered
- Customer-supplied or customer-specified fixtures, materials and equipment. Our labour installing them is warranted; the item itself is not.
- Manufacturer defects in any product, which are covered — if at all — by that manufacturer's warranty.
- Pre-existing conditions — defects in the existing system that were not part of the contracted scope, including galvanised, cast-iron or Orangeburg piping we did not replace, and existing slab, foundation or structural conditions.
- Work performed by others after ours, including by you, another contractor or any other person, and any alteration, repair or tampering with our work.
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to perform routine maintenance — including grease, wipes or foreign objects in drains, running a disposal without water, and failure to flush a water heater or exercise valves.
- Normal wear and consumables — washers, gaskets, anode rods, filters and seals.
- Acts of God and force majeure — earthquake, flood, fire, storm, freeze, lightning, ground movement, subsidence and tree-root intrusion.
- Water pressure, water quality and water chemistry outside normal ranges — including hard-water scale, corrosive or acidic water, and pressure above code limits where no functioning pressure-regulating valve is present.
- Recurring blockages caused by the condition of the line itself — root intrusion, joint offsets, bellies, partial collapse or a foreign object — in pipe we did not install. See the drain clearing period above.
- Cosmetic finish work and restoration — drywall patching, paint, tile and landscaping disturbed to reach the work — unless expressly included in the scope you approved.
- Code changes enacted after the date of the work.
- Work for which the contract price has not been paid in full.
These exclusions are ordinary in a workmanship warranty. None of them is intended to be read so broadly that it swallows the warranty. If you think we are applying one unfairly, say so — we would rather have that conversation than lose a customer over it.
Implied warranties
Any implied warranty arising under law is limited in duration to the term of this written warranty, to the extent permitted by law. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Incidental and consequential damages
This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Nothing in this warranty limits our liability for personal injury caused by our own negligence, which California Civil Code § 1668 does not permit us to disclaim.
Your other rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
This warranty is in addition to the rights California law already gives you and does not shorten or replace them. In particular, it does not affect the limitations periods for construction defect claims under California Code of Civil Procedure §§ 337.1 and 337.15, which run for longer than this warranty and are unaffected by it.
Warranty periods at a glance
| Work | Our workmanship | The parts |
|---|---|---|
| Repairs, installations, repipes, water heaters, gas and water lines, fixture and valve work | 12 months | Manufacturer's warranty, passed through |
| Drain and sewer clearing | 30 days, excluding lines with a documented structural defect | Not applicable |
| Diagnostic and camera inspection | Findings are documented and given to you; no warranty attaches to a diagnosis | Not applicable |
Where a written scope you approved states a different period for your job, that scope controls and it will say so on its face.
Version 1.0, dated 25 August 2026. If these terms change, work already completed stays covered by the version in force on the date of that work.
