Accessibility Statement

If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, we treat that as a defect.

Our commitment

RePlumbify is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we target

This site is built to target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG 2.2 is a superset of 2.1, which is the standard most commonly cited in United States accessibility requirements.

What we have tested, and how

Everything below was verified on 9 September 2026 against the built site. Where a check is automated it runs on every build and the build fails if it regresses.

  • Automated testing on every build. axe-core runs against 41 pages at two screen sizes — 82 checks in total — and the build does not ship if any of them fails.
  • Keyboard operation. Tested by hand. The skip link is the first focusable item on every page, the multi-step forms are fully operable without a mouse, menus close on Escape and return focus to the button that opened them, and we found no keyboard traps.
  • Focus visibility. A 3px focus outline is drawn on every interactive element, and both the header and the mobile action bar reserve space so a focused element is not scrolled underneath them.
  • Structure. Every page has exactly one main heading and no skipped heading levels. Headings, landmarks, lists and tables use real HTML rather than styled text.
  • Forms. Every field has a permanently visible label. Errors are described in words rather than colour, are associated with the control that receives focus, and focus moves to the first field that needs attention.
  • Contrast. Text measures at least 4.5:1 against its background. The borders of buttons, inputs and choice cards measure at least 3:1, which is the separate requirement for interface components and the one automated tools do not check.
  • Target size. Interactive targets measure at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels; primary actions are larger.
  • Zoom and reflow. Tested at 400% zoom and at a 320-pixel viewport. No page requires horizontal scrolling to read.
  • Motion. All movement is decorative and stops when your system is set to reduce motion, including page scrolling. Nothing auto-plays audio or video.
  • Language. Each page declares its language, and Spanish passages inside English pages are marked so a screen reader pronounces them correctly.
  • No accessibility overlay. We do not use one. Overlay widgets interfere with the assistive technology people have already configured, and they do not make a site accessible — in January 2025 the Federal Trade Commission fined one overlay vendor $1,000,000 for claiming otherwise.

What we have not done

This matters as much as the list above, and we would rather say it than have you find out.

  • No independent third-party audit. Everything above is our own testing. It has not been reviewed by an outside accessibility firm, and we have not published a formal conformance report.
  • No screen-reader user testing. We have tested with automated tools and by keyboard. We have not yet put this site in front of people who use screen readers, magnification or voice control every day. That is the test that matters most and it is the one we still owe.
  • We do not claim full conformance. We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA and we test against it. Targeting a standard and conforming to it are different statements, and only the first one is ours to make today.

Known limitations

  • Live chat, where enabled, is provided by a third party. Its interface is not under our control. If chat is not usable for you, the phone number and the request forms reach the same people.
  • The spam-protection widget is a third-party component. If it prevents you from submitting a form, call us and we will take your details directly — you should never be blocked from reaching us by a security control.
  • Documents you receive from us, such as proposals, may not yet meet the same standard. Ask and we will provide the content in whatever format works for you.

Tell us about a barrier

If something here does not work for you, we want to know — and we would rather hear about it than have you work around it. Call (877) 473-7586 and say you are calling about the website, or email info@replumbify.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line.

It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or settings you use.

What happens next. We acknowledge every report within two business days and tell you what we found and what we are doing about it. Where a fix will take time, we say so and give you a way to get the same thing done in the meantime — anything on this site can also be done by phone.

Anything you need to do on this site can also be done by phone. Nobody should have to fight a form to get a plumber.

This statement

Prepared 25 August 2026. Revised 9 September 2026 following a detailed manual review that went beyond automated testing; the issues that review found have been fixed and this page was rewritten to describe what is actually tested rather than to claim conformance.

It has not been evaluated by an independent third-party auditor. We review this statement whenever the site changes materially, and at least every six months.
